Law of New York State.
It Is A Co-op Because it operates by traditional
Co-op procedures developed in England in 1844
and is know as the Rochdale princliples namely:
• One member, one vote regardless of amount
of stock holdings
• Open membership, regardless of race, creed, color, or sex
• Special member incentives
As a direct result of membership participation, the
Co-op is recognized as having competitive prices
and outstanding quality in the Capital District.
It
Is Run By A Store Manager who is responsible
to the elected Board of Directors, who are in turn
accountable to the members who choose them, as
provided in the By-Laws.
